HEROES IN WAR
D-Day June 6th 1944 was, and to this day still is, the largest seaborne invasion in history, where around 156,000 Allied troops landed in Normandy, France, 61,715 of those were British, with 21,400 Canadians and 73,000 Americans. June 6th 2016, the 72nd D-day Anniversary Festival in Arromanches, Normandy France, I had the honour and privilege of meeting dozens of our hero Veterans from WW2. We owe our freedom to these incredibly brave men and woman. To hear their experiences and stories of War, in the place that it actually happened, was a day I will never forget.
